HALO shortlisted for prestigious award

11 September 2019

The HALO Urban Regeneration Company is proud to be shortlisted for the fourth Herald & GenAnalytics Diversity Awards 2019.

The HALO is nominated in the Building Diverse Inclusive Communities category, sponsored by City Building.

These awards have been celebrated for their work to boost diversity and inclusion across Scotland’s economy and are open to any organisation in the public, private, third or charitable sector.

Judges look for businesses that have created a community that is accessible and welcome to everyone, or has engaged with the wider community to promote a more diverse and inclusive culture in its local area or across the country.

The very first HALO will be in Kilmarnock. It will support the growth and resilience of the Ayrshire economy and will create a dynamic commercial, educational, cultural, leisure and lifestyle quarter of the town, fuelled by renewable energy, where people can live, work, learn and play.

Winners will be announced during a glittering ceremony on the evening of October 9.

Marie Macklin CBE, Founder and Executive Chair of the HALO Urban Regeneration Company, said: “Everyone at the HALO is really excited to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award alongside so many fantastic organisations.

“As well as being an innovative, imaginative and inspirational regeneration initiative a major focus for the HALO is to be a diverse and inclusive community open to everyone so to be shortlisted for this award is a huge honour.

“I can’t wait for this fantastic event in October and would like to wish all nominees the very best of luck.”
